Harmanpreet Kaur to play in Kia Super League

Indian woman cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur, who became the first Indian woman to play in the BIg Bash League, has been signed by Surrey Stars to play in the Kia Super League T20 cricket tournament hosted by England and Wales Cricket Board. BCCI confirmed the news by tweeting- "NEWS ALERT: #TeamIndia all-rounder @ImHarmanpreet to represent Surrey Stars in ECB's Super League."

Kia Super League will start from 10 August and will feature 6 players. Harmanpreet made an impressive debut. BCCI had recently nominated her for Arjun Award as well. The Indian women's T20 captain scored 296 runs in 12 innings at an impressive average of 59.20. She also claimed six wickets and was adjudged Sydney Thunder's WBBL Player of the Tournament.
